It is frightening (my son did it from the moment he was born...very scary for a first time Mum) but it will pass. xxxMe!https://www.blogger.com/profile/13707272197000832856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12177120.post-40215508407746446872011-04-16T21:38:56.049-05:002011-04-16T21:38:56.049-05:00Denise! This must SO scary to experience! I'm ...Denise! This must SO scary to experience! I'm sorry you three have to go through them, however, you did the absolute right thing in researching and learning about why she might react in this way. That in itself if being a wonderful Momma!! How are you?!?! How's baby Boy doing?! <br />xokAMBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06917466109548374765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12177120.post-14879656071291948982011-04-14T21:01:42.069-05:002011-04-14T21:01:42.069-05:00Hey Denise! I have been thinking of you, wondering...Hey Denise! I have been thinking of you, wondering how you are, and remembered you have a blog! It was fun to "catch" up! I specifically wanted to post a comment on this post because my niece had this same reaction to things for a year or more. I will NEVER forget the first time because it was caused by something I did! She wasn't a year old yet and had a pen in her little hand, ready to draw on my mom's coffee table. I said, "Eva, can Auntie Em have that pen?" while I gently removed it from her hand. Intake of breath, followed by her passing out. Oh my! It was girl's week at my mom's house, and so can you imagine 6 girl's (and my mom's) reaction to a baby passing out on the floor?! I wish we could have had it on video. One person blowing her face, one person patting her cheek, one person screaming (probably her momma, my oldest sister), and all of us generally freaking out. A few seconds later she came to and then periodically over the next months to a year repeating that same pattern when she got upset. I saw her about a year later on a family vacation do the same thing again. By that time, my sister had gotten a little more "used" to her reactions and was a lot more calm in her response. Eva is now 5 years old, and thankfully, handles her frustrations much better! Sounds like you are doing all the right things! Take comfort that this too shall pass! Miss you and glad to hear things are going well with your pregnancy. (Congrats on the news of a precious boy!)Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11768265520869098207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12177120.post-47084575887227625292011-03-26T08:04:59.426-05:002011-03-26T08:04:59.426-05:00Oh wow.
