news

So, the most recent news is that Jonathan will be leaving for the Middle East next week. Our first overseas deployment is here. I wonder what it will be like living alone? I wonder how frequently we'll get to communicate. I wonder if Jonathan will enjoy it. I guess I will find those answers out before I really want to!

In order to get uninterrupted, undistracted, romantic one-on-one time, we have booked a luxurious, cozy, beautiful little cabin up in the Georgia/North Carolina mountains for 4 days. We leave this Friday and I cannot wait! Though it's a signaling of "the beginning of the end" it will be a time to create so many sweet memories with each other.... We are very excited about this little pre-deployment trip, and I know I'll treasure every memory and picture we have of it as I think on and look at them when he's gone.

Denise,
Thank you for the wonderful comment on my blog. I am so touched by your humility and love for the Lord and for others. Thank you for sharing in such an open way. The Lord is using you to minister to me. I am so touched by your desire to honor Him through the most difficult trials. Thank you for your desire to remain steadfast and faithful. I have no doubt that He is well pleased!
I will continue to pray for you, especially during the months ahead. My sisters husband is in Iraq at this moment. She will not see him again for quite awhile and it had been tough. But, the Lord is sustaining her as I know He will you too. I am so thankful that you will have these next days with your husband.

"Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways ackowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil." proverbs 3:5-7
with love,
Becky M.
